St-Patty's Day Party After All

After writing my last entry, I asked myself if I really wanted to sit a home all night and decided that I was going out no matter what. So I called K, my new co-worker who had once said I could call her if I wanted to go out. I had a feeling she knew how to party. And I got confirmation when I called her at 4pm and she told me she was already out drinking.
I threw on my green shirt and a lil' make-up and hopped in a cab. On to Beantown Pub.
Next thing I know K and her crew arrive in a huuuuuuuuuuuge hummer stretch-limo. Last to step out of the monster vehicle is a mariachi band (forgive the spelling - a band of Mexicans with the sombreros, ponchos and all), guitars in hand, leading the way into the pub. I am totally bewildered and wonder what has just happened when one of K's crew member orders two cases of Coronas and starts passing them around. I'm offered a shot of Tequila and two Coronas and half way through the third one I am told that we are off to the next bar. We all pile up in the limo with the band and head to Faneuil Hall, to more Irish pubs. There again, same scenario: the band, 2 cases of Coronas, beads, hats. Finally I got it: we were with a radio station on a promotion tour sponsored by Corona.
And today I wish I was sponsored by Aleve.
