Rush

Bay Street Rehab has transformed into a Frat House.
The pledge are no other than W, an old friend from South Carolina, and Chestnut, a coworker from the Swiss office.
They both arrived on Sunday. Before picking them up at the airport (thanks God they arrived at different times because only one + luggage fits in the mini-coop), frenzie at Bay Street. Weeks of laundry to be thrown into the washer (not before taking out Balloon's lady dirty underwear and balloons from the washer - apparently balloons are like coins, you find them at the bottom of the cylinder); major dusting, vacuuming, washing, cleaning, scrubbing to be done; finally 15 minutes before the first trip to the airport, the Frat House was ready.
Rush officially began with the blowing of the air mattress. To make it interesting, I had bought a pump that connects to the cigar lighter of the car. Mission 1 was to go back to the store...
Mission 2 was the obligatory duck tour of Boston - tourist ride on an amphibious truck where our pledges were highly encouraged to yell “quack quack” from the top of their lungs.
Being part of a Frat House is all about friendship and sharing. So W ironed my clothes.
Today our pledges went to work for the first time in the US office. To make their day challenging, we had decided to change internet suppliers over the weekend. So today, there was no internet connection at the office. We thus set our quarters at the Frat House in the midst of the air mattress and suitcases.
Rush will officially close on Friday with keg stands. All the pledges will hopefully become Vodka Bay Sigma sisters.

  1. I feel a little bit left out. But it's my own doing, so I'll just have to live with it.
    Friday? Party? Can I come?
